Good-bye Chase!

The payment from Citicards finally arrived at Chase, and we now have a -$0- balance there. Nice. Our cancellation refund check arrived from Geico Direct in the amount of $269.46. Mr. A's last “day job” paycheck hit our checking account this morning to the tune of $999.00. He's been busy with his new business, so far, so good. I've been logging in to Chase every day, to see if the remaining $4000 has been paid with the balance transfer from Citicard. It's still there this morning. Paying Off That 14.24% Credit Card

FINALLY! I'm doing it today! I've just transferred $4000 on the Citicard to the Chase card, and I'm about to pay the balance of $3909.19 from my checking account. I printed out the statement and noticed the APR has gone down to 12.99%. It kind of freaked me out to see that it had dropped. The interest was lower for the month as a result. $87.84. Excel Can Help You Calculate

I know there are hundreds of online calculators to be found, but I grow weary of the delay in response due to my Internet connection. I have satellite internet — it is the only “fast” Internet available out in the country. I pay for the cheapest connection, which is rather expensive at $50/month.
