I promised last month that I was getting back to monthly reports, so here are the numbers for July. We were under budget on some items, but over budget on others. I'm going to get back to making monthly reports.  I have got to get back to tracking our finances more carefully. Mr. A was saying he would be willing to start writing checks if that would help, because swiping the plastic just seems to lessen the effect of money being spent. Credit Card Worries and Update

President Obama signed a new bill regarding credit card rules which will go into effect in 9 months. I need to do some research on it as I have heard there are some good and bad points to the new bill. Financial Update

When I started this blog in September 2007, our lives were quite a bit different than it is now. Mr. A was “working for the man” making a steady $15 an hour, forty hours a week. We had around $10,000 in debt, which had been accumulated within one year due to circumstances beyond our control.
