Okay, we were under budget on a lot of items. I always like seeing that gasoline amount come in under budget, and no major car repairs.
We went over budget on Beauty/Sundries by $9.96. The main item to push me over in this category is the purchase of the Shikai lotion which I totally love. I have been trying to find a natural lotion that didn’t contain parabens and … click here to continue reading January 2010 Monthly Report
I never got around to reporting in December on our credit card debt. In November the total was $23,775.36 and at the end of January it was $23,645.68. It has gone down $129.68 in two months. Yet again, while I wish it was going down faster, at least it is going down and not rising!
I am so late getting my December monthly report done, but here it is, finally! If I’m lucky, I’ll have the January report next week sometime.
In the black by $185.50.
Gas was very low this month, not really sure why. It makes me a little nervous because all gasoline is charged to debit cards, and I download all the transactions from the bank so how could some be missing? There is … click here to continue reading December 2009 Monthly Report
I reported in October that our credit card debt was at $23,847.48. After finance charges and payments, at the end of November, our credit card debt is at $23,775.36.
I am really in awe at the month of November. In shock, really. For one thing, we did not take a draw from Mr. A’s business during the actual month because we took the draw on October 30th for November, it did not show up in the report. And then it turned out we didn’t need the other draw we usually take for the middle of the month. Good thing, … click here to continue reading November 2009 Monthly Report
The month of October really got away from me. Auto expenses were high: I had to buy new tires for my vehicle ($346), and we had to replace the fuel pump in Mr. A’s work truck ($257). Somehow, gasoline was $135.79 lower than it usually is.
Our goal on groceries was $640 for the month, but we went over by $63.56.
I am so pleased with the September report. I was ready to post this report early in October, but I scheduled it for later in the month after I’ve paid the monthly payments to the credit cards.
We were under budget in many departments. Gasoline was $100 under budget, we avoided eating out and saved a lot by doing that.
Last month we decided Mr. A would begin using his business credit card for gasoline purchases, so we came in just under my estimate for gasoline for my vehicle. Mr. A’s truck is used almost exclusively for his business so we shouldn’t really count the money we pay for gasoline as personal expenses.
I promised last month that I was getting back to monthly reports, so here are the numbers for July.
We were under budget on some items, but over budget on others. I need to find some way to budget gas so that it doesn’t include Mr. A’s business usage. $413 went for my vehicle, while Mr. A used $432.
I’m going to get back to making monthly reports. I have got to get back to tracking our finances more carefully.
Mr. A was saying he would be willing to start writing checks if that would help, because swiping the plastic just seems to lessen the effect of money being spent.
