I Think I Found An Accountant

I’ve been asking friends and acquaintances if they have a CPA they can recommend. I have received a few recommendations, but several weren’t taking new clients.

Then the other day, one of our auditors came by to start the proceedings for the yearly audit at my job. While she was asking the normal questions, it occurred to me that she might be able to help me.  I asked her, and she said she could. We decided that a Saturday or Sunday would work best for both of us, and I’ll come into town. Or since she says she has Quickbooks on her laptop, I think I can transmit an electronic copy to her by email and we can talk by phone. I need to make sure that she realizes I do not expect her to do this for free.

But now that I think about it, I wonder if it will be a conflict of interest for her to help me when we are associated through my employer. I will have to ask her to check and make sure it would not be a problem.

I am starting to get nervous about our income taxes for which I filed an extension, and are due October 15th. I was pretty much done, I just needed some professional advice to make sure I was on the right track with everything.

I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Have a lovely day!
