It’s been a very busy week for me. It started out with Monday being a holiday, which made work even more hectic and stressful since I lost a day. On Tuesday I had to stop by Walgreens and turn in my son’s prescription. My momma’s birthday is coming so I wanted to get her a couple of things. I settled on a pink ribbon Ty beanie baby bear for $6.99. My mom collects stuffed animals and my Grandma survived breast cancer, so my mom likes the pink ribbon support thang. I also got her a pair of memory foam slippers for $14.99. Then a card for $2.99 and shipping was $5.20. $5.50? I forget.
Then I remembered it was bosses day on Thursday, so I called my best friend coworker and asked if she would like to split the cost of the card with me so it could be from both of us.
When I checked out, I saw that Walgreens is giving $25 gift cards for transferring a prescription. I went back to see if by chance my son’s prescriptions qualified, and his prescriptions were already filled! I told them I could wait until the next day, no rush.
His prescriptions weren’t eligible, but mine would be, since I have a $10 co-pay.
On Wednesday my youngest came to work with me – he was supposed to meet up with his grandmother but as it turned out she wasn’t able to keep to their plans. So he volunteered at my job and after I got off work we hung out in town and went to church. We got home around 9:30. No internet time for me on Wednesday as I don’t blog while I’m at work. I understand some bloggers are able to manage that, but I’m not sure how honest that is to one’s employer. Okay, I do check my feed reader sometimes for just a few minutes at a time, but I don’t take breaks, I only take a 30 minute lunch, so I figure I’m entitled to a couple of breaks. It’s not like I’m taking a break every 30 minutes to smoke, like some other people I work with.
Today was just as busy, and I had to work an hour late. I had to do the banking and then I had to stop several places on the way home. My mom’s birthday is coming, so I had to box her presents (I wrapped them at church last night) and get them in the mail. The main post office for the city is on my way home so she should get the box by tomorrow or the next day at the latest.
I usually get my prescription filled at Costco, but had it transferred to Walgreens. They gave me my $25 gift card and I was able to use it to pay my $10 co-pay! Then I asked if they carry arnica gel and the cashier had some behind the counter for $6.59. My plantar fasciitis has been acting up and I want to see if the arnica will help at all.
I have to work tomorrow, and I have to do my side job on Saturday. I will try to get out a couple more posts!! I do want to share with you a phishing email I got at work today and actually clicked on, because it looked so authentic!! I’ll post about that soon.
DARN. Our Magic Bullet just broke. My MIL gave it to us Christmas 2006. We have a great blender though that will just have to suffice for the time being.
And now I have to get to bed because I get to sleep in tomorrow morning, but 4:30am still comes early.

Frugal – it’s all relative. I’m sure you don’t go to bed at 7 or 8pm at night!
You probably stay up until midnight or so, right? During the summer I have to be up by 3am to get to work by 6am (hour drive, plus we milk our dairy goats in the morning, and an hour to get ready for work), but during the winter I can sleep until 4am on workdays. On the days I’m home, I sleep until 5:30-6 since I usually stay up until 9 or so. Thanks for visiting and commenting!
