I planned to bank our stimulus check when it arrived, to pay back the income taxes we had to pay out.
But our 1989 F150 had other plans. It decided it was time to have its transmission rebuilt. To the tune of $950.
I don’t expect that we’ll see our stimulus check until mid-June. Since we had to pay, I didn’t realize had I filled in the direct deposit section, we’d be getting our money back four weeks earlier!

The odd thing is I feel eerily disconnected from having spent nearly $1000 on the repair. Usually I freak out over car repairs… not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing… thank you for your comment, Elif! Mrs. A
