How long has it been since you checked your credit scores? Today is as good a time as any to see how you're doing!
There seems to be some confusion when it comes to credit reports and credit scores. The Fair Credit Reporting Act legislation has made it possible for you to request one free copy of your credit report each year from each of the three reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) using AnnualCreditReport.com. These reports will allow you to look at your past and present credit history. With this information in hand you can take steps to correct errors, figure out how to and find where you need to repair your credit. These reports do not however, include your credit score. You will be given the opportunity to purchase your credit score for a small fee when using AnnualCreditReport.com.
Even though you would need to pay for your credit score through AnnualCreditReport.com, have no fear there are some options for obtaining your credit score at no cost.
