Layaway was a popular way to buy gifts or clothing when I was a child. My Feed Was Broken and How I Fixed It

I saw this post first over at Funny About Money's, and then at Revanche's A Gai Shan Life and thought I'd share here. I have done hardly any traveling in my 47 years, and Virginia, Illinois and Colorado were states we happened to be in for our vacation to Washington, DC.
