My Very First Snowflake!

I sat down this weekend and figured out where we are financially. I’ve been trying to do this each evening, but there weren’t any receipts to enter for several evenings! Poor Mr. A got bit by a spider on the neck, head and arm last weekend and he was in bed sick for three days. He didn’t get out much on the other days, so amazingly there were not many gasoline or grocery receipts! 🙂 Of course that means he also didn’t bring in money, but we’re okay financially for a little while since he’s made a lot in the last couple of months. And we did make up for the grocery receipts on Friday.

Now, about that snowflake. It was time to pay our trash delivery service. $96 for three months of service. I’ve been saving $35 every month and we had a little bit of excess money in our checking so I took the $9 dollars extra (we save $35/month for three months which is $105 and the payment is only $96) plus the little bit of excess and made a $44 snowflake payment to the FIA card.

Now Father’s Day is coming up next weekend and I’m not sure how that is going to go. We usually like to get Mr. A something really nice, but he usually doesn’t expect it. We’ll talk about it and see what he thinks.

I’m attending a conference in town this week, so I may need to spend some extra money on food, but it’s possible my job may be paying for meals. I’ll have to ask and see if they will reimburse me. I know others that go to conferences are reimbursed for their food expenses while on the road.

I’m looking forward to the conference. I’ve never attended one before, and I’m hoping it’s going to be like a mini-vacation because I won’t be going home for two evenings, I get to stay in the hotel! I love staying in hotels. Especially when paid for my someone else. 🙂

  1. Oh! Sending my best to poor Mr. A. I hope it’s healing okay-spider bites can be very, very bad!

Enjoy your conference! I’d love to spend a couple of nights away at someone else’s expense!

  2. Hi Bettsi, Mr. A is doing a lot better. I’m always scared of brown recluse spider bites! I am hoping I will learn a lot at the conference. Thank you for commenting!
