I called Zenni Optical yesterday, I had read some unfavorable reviews regarding Zenni Optical’s customer service, so I braced myself for the worst. I set a timer so I could keep track of the time it took for the phone call. At very least, I expected to be talking to someone in a third world country, but that didn’t happen. I spoke with a young woman who sounded American through … click here to continue reading Zenni Optical’s Customer Service
I’m not sure what to think. My Zenni Optical order placed April 3rd arrived yesterday, but… well… I think… I hope… that they shipped the wrong glasses.
First off, there are three pair of glasses, which is what we ordered, shown below. I ordered this first pair in “Clear Burgundy”.
Since I take care of Mr. A’s transaction privilege taxes online, I get a monthly email with reminders, updates and changes to Arizona taxes. A couple of weeks ago, an additional one came through stating that Senate Bill 1185 had been approved and our withholding will be increased beginning May 1, 2009.
It’s not a lot, but Arizona withholding taxes are going up. Here’s a screenshot of the increases:
Not many comments lately – is everyone extra busy? Are my posts extra boring of late? I know, you’re all out playing in the sunshine because it’s finally spring!
Today I’d like to open up the floor to you. What would you like to know about me? Ask me any questions you may have and I’ll make a Questions and Answers post.

I had a conversation with my coworker last week about a check ordering mishap she’d been through. Apparently she ordered checks through her bank back in March and they never showed up so she had the bank order another batch. Two days later she received two sets of identical checks.
One of my earlier posts Your Check Should Get Bigger in April has been included in today’s Carnival of Personal Finance over at Mighty Bargain Hunter’s place. Check out the carnival which has lots of great posts. Many thanks to Mighty Bargain Hunter for including my post!

Our janitor went on vacation for 2.5 weeks to visit with her family. She comes from Guatemala and is the dearest woman. She’s my senior by a mere four months. We have a very part-time maintenance man, who is supposed to do “Mandy’s” job while she’s on vacation, but we’ve been … click here to continue reading I Hate Cleaning Urinals
My garden is doing so wonderfully! I planted sunflower seeds about ten days ago and eight of them have come up. I’m hoping to see one more pop out. They are the gigantic sunflowers so they have to be planted eighteen inches apart. I was sick on Wednesday (food poisoning) and am still feeling worn out and weak so I don’t think I’ll get around to my … click here to continue reading April Garden Update
Whooo boy… one of my coworkers is in this boat. He had someone come into his house and help him get his home organized, and this included filing his paperwork. On April 15th he discovered he didn’t know where the person filed his tax information! The person was in Oregon and didn’t remember filing any tax paperwork, so my coworker ended up doing nothing that day, not even filing an … click here to continue reading Owe Taxes and Didn’t File An Extension?
