Out Sick

I mentioned in a post on Monday that I was sick – it took three days but my lungs are finally responding to the Prednisone my doctor prescribed and my heavy wheezing has subsided. I am still having to use the nebulizer with Albuterol 4-6 times around the clock, and I’m still feeling tired and weak. I had to take the week off from work, and have been trying to get work done from home when I have enough energy to sit at my computer.

Mr. A had to have a medical procedure performed today, on an outpatient basis. The doctor took several biopsies and says he will let us know in two weeks if there is anything to worry about. Thanks, Doc.

I did manage to spend the 90 minutes waiting in a constructive manner. I spent some time jotting down ideas for posts, and coming up with some goals and plans for Out of Debt Again. Driving him to the procedure, and being up and about for 4 hours just about did me in again physically, unfortunately.

I hope to be back regularly soon.

Yours Truly,

I hope you get better soon!! It’s never fun being sick. My son was on a nebulizer for about 4 months, and that was rough (he was only a year old). I would have preferred it to be myself any day. Oh well. Anyways, yea.. feel better soon!

I’m glad you’re feeling better now and that my advice was useful.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my site too.

Now, just don’t overdo as you start to get better. All that stuff at work doesn’t have to get done in one day. Remember to take some extra time to rest every day until you’ve been feeling fine (not better, fine) for several days.

And then go off the Prednisone gradually on a schedule your doc should give you. Don’t just stop it cold.

Hi Shevy, I kind of overdid it on Friday and then the Prednisone got me hyped up and I couldn’t sleep, so I was up until 4am this morning! AGH! Thank you for the reminder to continue to take it easy. I forget how necessary this with lung infections. And yes, my doctor did give me a schedule to taper down on the Prednisone. Thank you for coming back!
