I’ve Always Loved Gardening

I've been feeling bummed out over the last week since it appears that my latest idea to thwart the gophers wasn't going to work out. The main problem is we didn't mix our heavy clay soil in with the compost that we shoveled into the pallet bed. As a result, the compost is light and airy, but unfortunately, seemingly water-resistant. I've been gardening successfully for twenty years, so part of me thinks I should know better. Electricity Update for November

I had hoped to figure out this month if using the hot water heater timer was going to make any difference in our electricity bill. Two things happened so that I won't know for sure, at least not this month, or the next. Number 1: Our property is fenced and our meter is inside the yard. Using Too Many Rebate Companies

When I bought Big A's shoes from Zappos at the end of October, I remember thinking I would get back 10%. But darn it, I can't remember who I used through Evreward. I have only signed up with Ebates, BigCrumbs, Mr. Rebates and Cashbaq, but none show pending rebates. Drat! That would have been $11.40 if I'd used Cashbaq or BigCrumbs. Amazon Jackpot in the Mail

Last week I got an envelope from Amazon. It always looks like junk mail. So much so that the first gift certificate I received from them I almost tore it in half and threw it away. But luckily I opened it, to find a $25 gift certificate inside.
